  1. Should my child be in Learn to Play or Fundamentals? 
  • if a child has no league experience they should be in Learn to Play, regardless of their age.  The minimum equipment they need for this program is a hockey helmet with mask, skates, stick, elbow pads, gloves and a pair of sweatpants and sweater.
  1. What are the camp hours and supervision costs?
  • the instructional part of the day is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • drop off is between 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. for no cost
  • 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. is charged at the following rate: $4. per child/day,  $5. day/two children, $8. day/three children

  • PAYMENT: Cheques or cash only, no credits and no post-dated cheques will be accepted. 
  1. What are your student to staff ratios?
  • On ice ratios are 7:1 or better,  Off-ice  15:1 or better
  1. Do the children receive assistance getting changed?
  • all children receive help getting their equipment on and off and with their skate tying.  A staff member is present at all times in each of our dressing rooms.
  1. Does the camp provide lunch?
  • No, families must provide a lunch and snacks for their children.
  • Note: our camp has a Peanut Free Policy in effect
  • The SNACK BAR at Ted Reeve Arena will be open during Camp.
  • Friday is Pizza Day!  For $4 campers can pre-order 2 slices of pizza (cheese, pepperoni or vegetarian), plus pop or water.  
  1. What is chalk talk?
  • Chalk Talk is the discussion of the theory of hockey and fitness and consists of 45 minutes in the morning and afternoon covering the following:  skill development videos, game tape analysis, chalk board sessions emphasizing systems, face offs, etc.
  1. What t-shirt size should I order?
  • The Youth sizes correspond to the following: S  =  Sizes 6-8; M =  Sizes 10-12; L  =  Sizes 14 –16
  • The Adult sizes are Small, Medium and Large
  1. How and when will I receive confirmation of my registration?
  • Confirmation letters will be sent out in JULY.  At this time you will receive a receipt, medical form and information about the first day of camp.  If the program you have registered is full you will be informed and put on a waiting list.  
  1. How many hours of ice do the students receive per day?
  • The Learn to Play and Fundamental programs receive 2 hours of daily ice and 
  • The Advanced group receives 3 hours of daily ice.
  • There may be one additional hour of ice available at 12 noon. A limited number of students may sign up for this program at a cost of $25-30.  Information will follow in the confirmation letter.
  • Morning ice is usually devoted to POWER SKATING AND THE AFTERNOON IS FOR PUCK SKILLS.  
  1. How often do the groups scrimmage?
  • Most groups will scrimmage for part of their on-ice program on Thursday and will play a Full game on Friday.  The Advanced group will scrimmage from Tuesday to Thursday.
